The collections Of Gully Boy were around 1.30 crore nett less than Simmba but this is not much of a gap when you consider only 15 cities collected higher for Gully Boy. Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Pune, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and a few more in Mysore and TNK were better for Gully Boy.
The biggest performance was in Mumbai and Pune, the film got 7.1 crore nett in Mumbai circuit when Gujarat / Saurashtra was only 1.20 crore nett. Simbaa did 2.7 crore nett in Gujarat / Saurashtra which means that Gully Boy was better in Maharashtra despite Simmba also being a Maharashtra film. Gujarat / Saurashtra being just 17% of Mumbai circuit has never happened before for a film releasing on 3000 plus screens.
Delhi / UP and East Punjab got to reasaonable figures due to Delhi city, Noida and Gurgaon, the rest saw limited collections. Gurgaon was more than 30% of the East Punjab total. Mysore and Nizam / Andhra did very well. A territory comparison of Simmba and Gully boy is as follows:-
