Akshay Kumar is all set to hit the screen with a remarkable story of 21 Sikhs who fought 10,000 Afghans in the Battle of Saragarhi. Kesari, which is being Karan Johar, is all set to hit the screen on March 21.
Karan announced the film in October 2017 and this Holi, the fans will finally get to the Saragarhi battle on 70mm.
Akshay recently shared the third glimpse of the film on his Instagram account. The video shows Afghani soldiers running in to fight the Sikh warriors who are ready to face one of the toughest stand-alone battles the world has ever seen. The trailer of the film will release on 21 February, exactly one month prior to the release of the film.
Produced by Karan Johar, Kesari will see Akshay in the role of a military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers named Havildar Ishar Singh who fought against thousands of Afghani invaders. The film will also see Parineeti Chopra romancing Akshay Kumar for the first time.
'Kesari' is directed by popular Punjabi director Anurag Singh. The film is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi where 21 Sikhs soldiers fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897. The film is slated to hit the theaters on 21st March 2019.
