The trailer of Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming film Badla has dropped. The actor is featured opposite Mulk actress Taapsee Pannu certainly makes a striking appearance in the video as he dons a convincing look. Big B and Taapsee were last shared screen space in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s National Award-winning film Pink (2016). Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Badla is touted to be a revenge thriller.
Ahead of the trailer release, Shah Rukh Khan shared a tweet saying, “Main aap se Badla lene aa raha hoon @SrBachchan saab! Taiyaar rahiyega...”. Apparently, according to several reports, SRK might make a cameo in the movie. In the trailer, Big B and Taapsee look convincing as they are entwined in a case that thickens the plot as we progress through the video and leaves the audience with many questions.
Badla, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, appears to be an intriguing murder mystery going by the trailer, which hit the Internet on Tuesday. Director Sujoy Ghosh, writer and director of thrillers like the Kahaani series and Ahalya, is back in his comfort zone and that could be one of the best things about the film. Taapsee Pannu's character is accused of murdering her paramour. Lawyer Badal Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan), who is known for not having lost a single case in his 40-year-long career, appears to have come to her rescue. After listening to the story, Mr Gupta raises three question which stumps Taapsee, who can only say that she's being framed for the murder. Is she telling the truth?
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen next in Ayan Mukerji’s sci-fi movie Brahmastra co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Akkineni Nagarjuna that is slated to release around Christmas this year. On the other hand, Taapsee recently wrapped up her upcoming film Mission Mangal which also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen.
